Thanthonni
George Varghese, a former associate of director Joshey, makes his directorial debut with 'Thanthonni'. Cashing in on Prithvi's rebel lad image, the film hopes to strike gold at the box-office with all the right commercial elements thrown in.
Prithviraj in 'Thanthonni' is Kochukunju, of the Vadakkan Veetil family. Kochukunju lives up to the film's title and is a man who cares two hoots for anybody else's opinion, and who likes to do as he pleases. There is no stopping him; this truly virile youngster who is all brawn.
Kochukunju has always had a penchant for getting into trouble with his wayward ways, much to the anguish of his mother (Ambika). He is also in love with Helen (Sheela).
T A Shahid who had earlier scripted hugely successful films like Rajamanikyam, Balettan and average potboilers as Ali Bhai and Mambazhakkalam is back with a vengeance in 'Thanthonni'.
Kalabhavan Mani, Jagathy Sreekumar, Sakumar, Suraj Venjarammoodu, Captain Raju and Vijayaraghavan form the supporting cast. The film has been shot on locations in Kochi, Ottappalam and Pollachi.
While Tej Mervin scores the music for Thanthonni, Sajith Menon has handled the cinematography. Produced by Shahul Hameed Marikar, the film would be distributed by Marikar films.
